Dear Friends,
Dear Friends,
Wanda and I are requesting prayer for OHM. Last night (Friday, Nov9) someone vandalized our air conditioner units. They went after them with what seems to have been an ax or machete. All the cables and wires have been exposed and cut as well as other damages. We're facing $40,000 or more of damage. Needless to say this is not in our budget. Fortunately, the weather has cooled off here, so we can use fans during the day. We're also thankful that no one was electrocuted. Please pray for those who have done this. We are heartsick because we feel that this was done by someone who knows us. It seems to have been done in anger. Whoever has done this wasn't interested in stealing but in damaging property. Pray that we will have the wisdom needed to address this matter and that we will respond with grace and mercy. Pray for healing on our part and theirs. Thank you for your prayers.
Grace and Peace.

Good afternoon, friends.
I have an update on the vandalism done Friday night. After inspection of damages and talking with the police and the repairman things are a little better than we'd first thought. According to the officer this was not an act of violence or hate. It was an act of desperation. They gutted the compressors to get the metal and copper wiring to sell for scrap. This same thing has happened in other places around town. The repairman's initial assessment was around $14,000 of damage. This does not include the recommended cages to cover the units once repairs are made. Several of you asked about insurance coverage. We're looking into it. In the past, the insurance has been of little help due to our extremely high deductible. We thank you for your prayers and will keep you posted.
Grace and peace.
Leah
